CBS has renewed two of their long-running reality programs for the 2010-2011 season:

The network has ordered two more cycles of Survivor – one for fall 2010, one for spring 2011.  That order will bring the number of cycles they’ve had to 22!  Survivor has dominated its Thursday time period for 8+ years now in all demo groups, and there seems to be no sign of that slowing down.

CBS has also order another cycle (the 17th) of The Amazing Race.  This Sunday show continues to be a top performer of the night, and has snatched the Emmy Award every year in the reality category.

The new season of Survivor (Survivor: Heroes & Villians) starts up on February 11th with a 2-hour premiere from 8-10p (ET).

The 16th cycle of The Amazing Race starts up February 14th from 8-9p (ET).
