Fans of Merlin – which aired one season on NBC last year  – have reason to rejoice.

Syfy has purchased the rights to air the show, and will do so in a few months.

A program that initially aired for two seasons on BBC One, NBC bought the rights to the first season.  The ratings were lackluster, so they did not buy the rights to the second season.

However, Syfy saw it as a good fit.  They will be presenting a marathon of the first season at the end of March.  The new (to the US) season will debut in April.
