Trauma for Trauma

Sometimes even the biggest egos admit when they’ve made mistakes.

NBC has cut back its order for Trauma by two episodes, bringing its first (and obviously only) season to 18.

While the expensive show has struggled to find ANYBODY to watch, NBC ordered up more episodes to fill in their schedule once Leno left the 10p time slot.  In other words, they needed more shows to fill out their spring.

It is probably no coincidence that Trauma gets the extra episode plug pulled around the same time as Minute to Win It had been renewed – NBC has been using the game show to increase ratings in struggling time periods.  For example, last week they aired an edition of the show in Mercy‘s usual Wednesday slot; the switcheroo say that hour seeing an increase in ratings over what they were getting with Mercy.

The final episode of Trauma will air Monday, April 26th at 9p (EST).
