Looks like Spike can’t wait any longer.

After a few months going head-to-head with USA & WWE, Spike & TNA wrestling have announced they will move their program back to Thursday at 9p (EST).

While there was no expectation that TNA would steal WWE‘s ratings, the initial move to compete was to grow the brand.  TNA has brought in talent from yester-years to generate buzz, but the ratings haven’t shown much progress.  Two weeks ago, the got a 1.0 rating; last week it was 0.5.

If one were to guess, they would suggest that it was Spike who made the call to move the program back away from the competition.  It just doesn’t seem likely that Spike would be ok with a 0.5 rating when they might be able to put in programs that could generate higher ratings.

HE'S arrived - but viewers haven't

The switch will happen next week, May 13th.
